Agreement to Terms

By enrolling in any Sewista Studio class, camp, program, or course, you agree to these Terms of Service.

Liability & Safety

Sewing classes involve tools such as needles, scissors, pins, and irons that carry an inherent risk of minor injury. By enrolling, the student (or parent or guardian, if a minor) acknowledges this risk and agrees that Sewista Studio is not liable for minor injuries occurring during normal, supervised class activity.

Payment & Enrollment

Enrollment is confirmed only once payment in full has been received.
Class size is limited to ensure hands-on instruction, so spots are held on a first-paid, first-served basis.
Payments are processed securely via Stripe.
Classes are open to students ages 7 and up unless otherwise specified.
Materials are included unless otherwise noted.

If you are using Step Up For Students funds, please make sure to reserve the funds ahead of time. Contact us if you have any questions about paying with Step Up.

No Refunds

All class and course fees are final. Sewista Studio does not issue refunds for any reason, including change of mind, scheduling conflicts, illness, travel, or dissatisfaction after a class has started.

No Makeups (Student Absences)

Sewista Studio does not offer makeup classes for student absences, late arrivals, or no-shows. If a student misses a class for any reason, the fee is forfeited and no substitute session will be scheduled.

Make-Up & Cancellation Policy

Studio-Cancelled Classes

If Sewista Studio must cancel a class due to instructor absence or unforeseen circumstances, we will reschedule within the session whenever possible.

Weather-Related Cancellations

During hurricane season or other severe weather, classes may be canceled for safety. We will do our very best to reschedule or add make-up opportunities at the end of the session. Due to the unpredictable nature of Florida weather, it may not always be possible to make up every class, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding.

Illness Policy

Students who are feeling unwell, especially with fever, contagious illness, or symptoms that could spread to others, should stay home. As with any absence, this falls under our No Makeups policy, and no refund or makeup session is provided.

Holiday & Studio Closure Calendar

Sewista Studio provides a full calendar of scheduled holidays and studio closures at the start of each session or program. Families are responsible for familiarizing themselves with this calendar in advance.

Camps

Camp registrations are non-refundable. Spots are limited and held just for your child, so once you have enrolled, we are unable to offer a refund for any reason, including changes in plans, illness, or early departure. We appreciate your understanding and encourage families to enroll only once dates are confirmed.

While we cannot offer refunds, we will do our best to accommodate a change and move a student to another available camp week. Please note that any week-change requests must be made at least 7 days before the original camp start date.

Afterschool Year-Long Program (Monthly Billing)

The Afterschool program is billed monthly for the duration of the school year. To withdraw, families must provide 30 days written notice. Because your child's spot is held specifically for them, you will be charged for the full month following your notice, regardless of attendance. There are no refunds on payments already made.

Safety and Conduct

Students must follow all safety instructions provided by instructors.
Appropriate behavior is expected from all students. We reserve the right to dismiss students whose behavior disrupts the class.
Parents/guardians must provide accurate emergency contact information.

Right to Refuse Attendance

Sewista Studio reserves the right to refuse or discontinue a student's attendance at any time, for any reason, to maintain a safe and positive environment for all students and instructors. No refund is issued in this case.

Intellectual Property

All class content, patterns, and curriculum are the property of Sewista Studio and may not be reproduced or distributed without permission.

SMS Terms of Use

By providing your phone number and contacting Sewista Studio, you agree to receive SMS messages related to:

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and will apply to enrollments made after the update.

By enrolling in any Sewista Studio class, camp, program, or course, the student (or parent or guardian, if a minor) acknowledges and agrees to this policy.
